One question... what does the video need to be ABOUT???

hehe...

You left that small detail out. Cause I don't watch the Real World.
Mike 9/15/2002 08:36:00 PM

Damn I got a great idea its really complicated but yet simple. I wanna send in a video to MTV to try to get on the real world. only problem is the deadline is this saturday and I can't go home and get my video camera. hey brett if you have a camera bring it up. Everyone should make a tape chances are higher that one of us gets on if more of us make tapes. There is more to my plan but it needs not mentioning if I can;t even get this part of it done.

So I just played my first pep rally. It was pretty fun... but fairly short... I wish they were a bit longer. Anyways, I just came across this great website recently, it's www.runrickyrun.com , and it's basiclly Ricky Williams doing exactly what we do here. As most people know, Ricky is one of my all time favorite football players, so it's really cool to read his thoughts on every thing from Madden 2003, to how he played in his last game. It's really neat, and he's actually very funny, so I suggest that everyone check it out. Did I mention that I got my check from my car accident? Well, I did... and I've never had this much money in my freaking life! To some $2,380 may not seem like a lot, but to me it's a HELL of a lot of money. I get to buy a new computer, and I'll still have over $1,000 left over... pretty neat huh? I'm really happy right now because I get to sleep late tomorrow. It's the first Saturday I get to sleep late since I've been up here. I don't have to be to practice till 1pm. I wonder if I'll see Jana, Carly, and the rest of the gang tomorrow. If I do I'll be sure to make fun of them... or something cool like that. Ok, it's that time of the year when I start making predicitons... so my predictions for this year will be "The Deuce is Loose Prediction", and I'll predict Deuce's stats for the upcomming game. So for this week I'm going to go with 120 yds. rushing and 50 yds. rec. 1 TD rushing and 1 TD rec. We'll see how that turns out Sunday. For now I'm going... I need coke. Peace.

How goes it? All goes well here. I'm about to go play my first pep rally in a little bit, so I'll be writing later on to tell how that went. I get to go home this Saturday night, mainly so I can throw a Saints party. It's going to be fun watching the Saints beat Green Bay. I feel sorry for the Green Bay fans (Holly and Dana!) but they are going down BIG TIME! I put all of my MP3 files into one giant random playlist, and I have over 2,300 files! It's really fun cause it can go from The Huntingtons, to Mozart, to Goldfinger, and then to Enya... all within a 4 song span. I recomend everyone trying this out! Ok, I'm going for now. Peace!

Not much to say today... it's been a pretty dull day for me. I figured I'd come on here and blog just for the hell of it (keep myself in the swing of things). I wish I had something really cool to tell... but I don't think I do. What I WILL do is use this place as a means of bitching for the time being. What am I going to bitch about you ask? Well, I'm going to bitch about people who absolutly annoy me with their stupidity and selfishness. I won't mention any names (I don't like causing trouble) but some people just really, really, REALLY like to get on my nerves. Annoying me isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, but when I am annoyed it puts me in an extremely bad mood. Luckily I know lots of people who can usually cheer me up and make me forget about it. I also have music to listen to that usually helps me forget about it. I must say though, no matter what I do, and no matter how often I make myself forget about it, these people usually end up screwing it up for me by making me annoyed again. O well, not much I can do about it... that's life. I'm listening to Jupiter Sunrise right now... Heaven and Endless is a brilliant song. A great love song with a sci fi twist. Nothing mixes better than love and nuclear wars. I can't wait for them to come back. That's going to be a fun weekend. Speaking of weekends, I have exactly 2 more weekends of football games, then I get to go home for the next weekend. It's a big deal to me because I can get pretty home sick up here. I've been waiting on my check from my car accident... it still hasn't gotten here yet, and it was supposed to get here on Monday. Hopefully it comes tomorrow cause I could use some money... I'm ALL out of coke! I just can't live without coke! I'm sure Michael knows my pain. Ok, I'm tired of typing for now, so I'm gonna go chill... if you're lucky, I may be in the mood to blog again tonight. Until then PEACE.

That game was TOTALLY fun. It's going to be hard to top that one... it should rain EVERY Saturday.
Brett 9/09/2002 07:07:00 PM

I really don't mean to abandon this site. i just don't do a whole lot on the internet these days, unless it has to do with fantasy sports. I have a double-mix-CD in the works, called "Unpack Your Adjectives." One CD is all one-word adjectives. The other CD is titles with adjectives modifying nouns.

I'm listening to Thug Life right now. It is so awesome.

The Second Saturday song is great. www.second-saturday.com if you haven't been there lately.

The USM and Saints games were 2 of the best I've seen in a while. Everybody kept saying, "Good thing you didn't go to Hattiesburg - it stormed." Dude, that's what college football is all about! I would've had to grab a trumpet though. Rainy football games aren't as fun without a trumpet. I bet that game was so much fun, huh Brett?

OK, I'll try to post more often.

Today was fun... class... practice... then a cancelled pep rally. Now I get to rest up before meeting for 8:30 am tomorrow. I was thinking to myself... if the game is going to be on ESPN 2 tomorrow, then that means that there is a slight chance that the one and only Mike Golic is on USM's campus right now (or will be tomorrow). I wish I could meet that man... he's so freaking awesome. Tomorrow is going to be a hot and tiring day... but I'm not really worried about it, as I'm so confident in the show now. I got all the jitters out last week, now it's just smooth sailing, and fun football from here on out. I'm fairly confident in USM's ability to kick Illinois' ass, and I hope to see some better defense this week. Of course after Saturday, I have something EXTRA special to look foward to... it's one of my favorite days of the year... NFL Sunday... 1st week. There's no better feeling in the world... in those moments leading up to the kickoff of the first Saints game, my emotions reach the PEAK of anticipation. On top of that, I truly believe that I have something to look foward to this year in the Saints. I've been playing Mario Sunshine a lot lately, and I think I'm addicted to getting Shines! It's so damn fun. I was late for History class today because of that damn game! By, the way... did anyone see Terrell Owens totally suck last night? How many passes did he drop? 1? 2? 3? Is he really a top WR, or just a pretender? I vote pretender. Same for Jeff Garcia... he lost major brownie points from me with that sad performance yesterday. I take back my prediction of the 49ers taking the division from the Rams. Ok, I've talked enough about pointless things. I'm going to find something to do now. Peace.

I've decided to post an entry before I go to bed tonight, because it's been pretty dead around here. I also want to post another mix CD, but that will come later. First let me tell you of my life since I last posted. Some pretty cool things have been happening, for one, I played at my first football game Saturday. That was so fun, and exciting. It's an amazing feeling to step on the field in front of 30,000 screaming fans. I managed to do both the Pre Game show, and the Half Time show without a single screw up. Then of course we got to watch the whole game and all, and that was fun because I'm totally into the whole football thing. I was cheering my ass off. USM beat JSU 55-7 in case anyone cares. I like to credit my cheering to a few of those points. I also finally managed to get my theory grade from last semester changed. It's no longer an F. It is now a C. That's only average, but it's a hell of a lot better than the aformentioned F. So tomorrow, I have to somehow manage to find time to go take care of my out of state fee waiver. It'll be hard, because I start my trumpet lessons tomorrow at 11am, so that's an extra class added to my schedule. I'm sure I'll find time for it though. On a sadder note, I regretfully have to inform everyone that something tagic has happened to me this past weekend. I once owned this lovely water bottle. I also kept pennies in this water bottle. But the similarities between this water bottle and a normal water bottle end there. You see folks... this water bottle was special, and to let you know how special it is, I have to take you back to April 20 of 2001. I'm in Birmingham, AL enjoying the greatest band to ever grace the face of the earth... yes Reel Big Fish. Inbetween songs, a certain trumpet player by the name of Tavis Werts offers me a bottle of water (as I was obviously hot, and extremely thirsty). This was the same bottle that I kept my pennies in... unfortunatly, this is also the same bottle that my mother cold-heartedly cut open, and threw away! Now I'm sure you're saying to yourself right now, "so what, it was just some dude who gave it to you"... but that's where you're wrong. To me Tavis Werts isn't just some dude. He is my total inspiration for everything that I do now. If not for him, I wouldn't be playing trumpet, I wouldn't be a music major, and I'd probably still be listening to Korn (in a separate bowl). I'm sure I'll eventually get over it, but I just had to type it up here. So with all of that stuff said, I'll end this post with a mix cd. And it's simply titled "My Favorite Things". It contains songs from my favorite bands, and artists. So here it goes:

1) "Good Thing" by Reel Big Fish
2) "Cat With Two Heads" by The Aquabats
3) "Superman" by Goldfinger
4) "That Guy Stole My Girl" by The Huntingtons
5) "Back to Basics" by Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra
6) "Understatement" by New Found Glory
7) "Population Us" by Dr. Frank
8) "El Scorcho" by Weezer
9) "Heaven And Endless" by Jupiter Sunrise
10) "KKK Took My Baby Away" by The Ramones
11) "Theme of Grandia" by Noriyuki Iwadre
12) "Is This Thing On" by Less Than Jake
13) "Minority" by Green Day
14) "Love Theme" by John Williams (ATOC)
15) "Bouncing Off The Walls" by Sugarcult
16) "Electric Baby" by MEST
17) "You're Not Alone" by Homegrown
18) "Pee Wee's Big Adventure Theme" by Danny Elfman
19) "Summer" by Sum 41
20) "May It Be" by Enya
21) "Sons Of Scottland" by James Horner

Ok there you go, I may actually put this one in the CD swap. I'm sure it'll be a good one. I'll try to post some more this week. Peace
