I'm wondering if there is anything funnier than your teacher letting class get out a half hour early cause he can't figure out how do do the problem on the board.

I have a question about last night not regarding the performance, the fans, the bands, the music, but something more important. ... Was my fly open all last night, and if so, why did no one mention this to me? I didn't even notice till I was on my way to arabi diner after the show.

Only 4 1/2 hours till the Huntingtons! Tonight's gonna be hella fun. I can't wait. I woke up this morning and turned off my alarm clock, because I was planning on just skipping class. But, I ended up waking up in time for class anyway... and making myself go. I'm so proud of myself. I haven't missed a class in a few weeks now... so I'd say that I'm on a roll. This weekend was pretty fun, but hectic also. When I got to Baton Rouge, we started a game of War Craft III and my computer froze on me... it then continued to freeze whenever I tried to run a 3-d application. So we did some stuff to it, reformatted it, added Windows 2000, and now it runs perfectly. I've managed to overclock my GeForce 4 and now it runs even faster than it did before... my computer kicks ass. Now all I need is broadband connection, because GayOL just isn't cutting it for me... I hate dial up. I got back one of my theory assignments... which is kind of a test, and I got a B on it... which is good considering I was doing horrible in the class... now I actually might pass. All it takes is a little focus. Tomorrow I have a test, I plan on passing that as well. Now that I think about it, I also have a test in Music History... I'm not so positive that I'll be passing that one... but I can damn well try can't I? I've been thinking of some DVDs that I need to get but can't because of a stupid speeding ticket, but I'll list them in case anyone wants to buy them for me... Spider Man, Lord of the Rings Extended Edition, Star Wars Episode II, Insomnia, Pulp Fiction SE, Halloween Resurection, Back to the Future Trilogy, and that's about it for now... I'm sure if you give me time, I can think of 100's. Ok, I'm going for now, I'll see you tonight at the Huntingtons show. Peace.

Huntingtons tonight! I'm off to class right now... I'll try to write more after class if I don't go to sleep, or if I'm not playing Morrowind. Peace out!

Today's lessons

for ryan's post, the lesson here, don't partake in costume contests unless you know most of the contestants are around your age as well as judges. or..... dress up like freakazoid and you get automatic wins. this is written in the ultimate costme contest handbook paragraph 5 section A on page 34, it states "Anyone dressed up like freakazoid should automaticly win any costume contest."

oh yeah playing Warcraft 3 in Baton Rouge this weekend with a lot of people is a lot of fun. I think a lot of you should try the game , at least. Go buy Warcraft III from a store for only 35 bucks or so now that the price dropped and love the game because it is soo good that you will have no other choice.

Brett sucked this weekend though, or at least things attributed to Brett. We (ben and I) got to BR friday night and setup the lan and played around with the computers that night. Brett opted out cause he sucks. We woke up satursday and got in maybe 2-3 games before brett even showed up. Then he setup his computer and bam... it kept locking up so we took almost the entire rest of the day trying to fix his computer, and got maybe 2 more games in that entire night. Then he left early sunday morning after the saints game, which is a very very hilarious experience if you ever get a chance to watch a saints game with ryan michon present. anyway, brett left and only played 2 games total. we then proceeded to play at least 5 + more games only 3 with ben cause he opted out to watch football later in the day. It was still tons of fun but there was a lot of game playing that didn't happen in there.

the lesson here: take care of your computer and learn how that mutha works. oh yeah, and try to defrag at least twice a year if not every 2 months. and formatting every year or 2 is also not a bad idea. when i say format don;t erase everything, back stuff up first... duhhh.

then I got back to school today in time for class, but now out of money again, but at least i spent it well. 3 robinsons shows this week and thats it for some frame of time. Should be fun if anything else. ..... the lesson here..... make sure the band members care to be in a band before you make that band. or ...... don't have a band in the city of New Orleans. take your pick.

It's 5:58pm right now. I think I'm done.
Brett's snoring right now.
My computer has a remote control, ... does yours???

Brett sucks live. You hear all about how he's this cool cat and instead, all he does is sit on his computer, and go to band practice. I am certainly not getting my money's worth on this room assignment.

I just saw the NEW Nerf Herder video for Mr. Spock... it was freaking awesome, as is the new Cd. Can't wait to see them in Novemember. also in that same week I will get to see Ash who I've been waiting 5+ years to see.

I'm going to Baton rouge this weekend to play some Warcraft, everyone should play this game for it is the greatest PC game EVER...since the original Civilization. I'll also be attending the my first Scary movie night in almost a year. the last one I made was the one with the nudity shots at Dana's place.

By the way, you should all, also see the great line-up on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim on Sunday nights. from home Movies to Harvey Birdman its nothing but great hilarious shows in a row. It's a great end of the week and just as good as watching Friday night stand-up on comedy central. You know what else is a good show aside from the simpsons.. Law and Order... its still going and the 1st season is now out on DVD.... badass my friends, simply awesome.

Thats about all for now.. Peace in the Middle East.

Ok, so as promised, I'll go into detail about the Homegrown, MEST, and Catch 22 show. I've never seen the Shim Sham club as crowded as it was... it was a little too crowded, and most of the people there were no older than 15. Kids like that usually annoy me. I can't tell you how sick I am of the comment "he's so hot" when reffering to why they like a certain band. But I got over that, and the under aged smoking (I guess that's the cool thing to do at a punk show now). Because the line was so long to get inside, I had to miss the first band, Madcap. I heard them from outside, and they seemed pretty cool... they're ska, I think. I got inside just in time for Catch 22's set... I wanted to see them, because they're one of the few decent ska bands around now a days. They rocked hard! I'd be willing to go see them again. They only played for 30 min. but, it was a fun 30 min. Next up was Home Grown. I saw them once in St. Louis with Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger, and I wasn't too impressed... I guess it was because I just didn't know any of their stuff... because this time they simply blew me away. So much energy, so many great songs. They played for 45 min., and I wish they would have played for 1 hour and 45 min... cause I could have done without MEST. Homegrown's Bass player is such a talented musician... he can sing really well, and he plays the bass like a freaking mad man. He's good. I wish I was him. I was so pumped up after them. I knew I had already gotten my money's worth, and THOUGHT that it would only get better from there... boy was I wrong. The moment MEST started playing, I knew it wasn't going to be too good. The bass was too loud, so I couldn't really hear vocals too well. Not that it mattered, because they attempted NO vocal harmonies, and the stupid singer often changed the lyrics in the songs, just so he can be more cool, and vulgar. If you want to be vulgar in your songs, then be a man and record it that way. If you're too scared to do it on your freaking cd, then don't do it live. I can't stand the fact that such talent is wasted becuase the idiots let the fame get to their heads. They could be great, but instead they just sucked... so I won't be wasting any more money on them. The only reason I'll listen to their cd's from now on, is because I know they're only good because of John Feldman's genius mind. He made the cd's what they are... not MEST. So that was it... that was the show. It was still a great show... because of Home Grown. Ok, I'm going for now... I'll type some more another time. Peace.
Brett 10/21/2002 07:36:00 PM

MEST sucks, and has managed to totally dissappoint me... Homegrown rocks, and exceeded all expectations I had of them... I'm too tired to talk about it now. I'll elaborate tomorrow, I gotta go to bed now. Peace!

This has become a Dr. Frank lyricist lounge! Anyway, so it looks like this things up and kicking again, so that's pretty damn good. This has been one hell of a week, and I'm beyond tired. Tomorrow is the final part of it all... Homecoming Day. Once I get through that, it'll all be good. I have to meet at this place at 8:30am tomorrow morning so we can kick off the homecoming parade... then we do eagle walk... then we do the procesion to the stadium... then pregame... then everything else we do, including a long ass half time show. After that I get to drive home to see MEST and Home Grown... so that should be super rad. I just got out of practice right now, so I'm chilling for a while before I have to play a pep rally tonight at 9:30... but that won't be bad at all, cause they're pretty quick. I'm trying to decided on a place to eat... as Elam cafeteria is closed after lunch on Friday... and the Commons closes at like 6. But I have a huge amount of choices, so I'm not worried about that. Ok, I'm gonna go chill now. I'll write later. Peace.

So the big news is that I'm gonna be an uncle! Since Todd called "Uncle Jesse", and Wyatt is Todd's friend, then Wyatt has to be Joey. But, we've managed to establish a role for me as Uncle Jasper... the long lost uncle from New York. I don't play with the Beach Boys, but I have been known to rock with Reel Big Fish every now and then. Also, I'm now a Stitch... a Sally Stitch at that. That's right, I'm in Sally's Stitches now, and we're going to take over the world... trust me, this will be good. I get to learn me some Moog... so that should be HELLA fun... cause I like the Moog. Could things possibly get any better? I think not. Peace Out.

Well, it seems that this thing is all back to somewhat working now. I was just waiting for it all to settle out, just like you wait for the fire marshall to check out the dorm after someone tries to burn the building down by setting fire to the elevator and it is now proclaimed safe.

Yeah so anyways, congrats to Mike n Donna on the baby. Just be sure not to give it some stupid generic name like Bob. Speaking of names do you know the #1 baby name in America is in fact Michael or Mike. I used to know the whole top 5 but guess what... Bob is actually not in the top 10, last I checked. John of course was #2.

So anyways, whats up with me you ask. School is going like school always goes, I'm trying to figure out some scheme to schedule my classes so I can actually get both degrees by next Spring.

I'm actually going to play at least 1 Super The song at ths show saturday, possibly even 2 or even 3 if you're lucky. For certain however I will be unveiling the song "Regurus." Aside from the possible ST originals, I will definitly also pull out some songs that ST will be playing such as rusty Spell's "Teddy Ruxpin" and Easy Cheese's "Jibba Jabba."

Speaking of ST, I've finished 1 of the X-mas songs "Santa's on Lead" I like it, I could use a awesome explosion of lead and rock out in the middle but I am still unsure about how to put it in there. I'm happy that I actually have product behind the name now, so for the few of you who have actually been awaiting the craziness that is Allen's brain, or as I like to call it..... 'greatness' hehe make sure you catch the preview at Cappicuinos (I believe thats how the word is spelled).

Song titles don't really mean much but I figured I'd list the songs so far planned for the new cd.

A Page Out of My Book (I've changed it a bit from PCB but still debating whether it should be in there or not)
Regurus
Amphysvena
Girl-less
Compulsive Liar Day
Renmazou
Stier
Joe's Torment
Bubblegum Crisis
Emo Girl
Teddy Ruxpin (Rusty Spell Cover)

Some of the titles you may recognize, some seem odd. the ones that seem odd are probrably that way for a reson. If you however recognize all the weird ones in connection to a certain story, than the songs seem all the more cooler.

Yeah, ok i'm gonna stop for now but I just thought I'd add that my new video card kicks some serious ass, I can now watch TV on the same screen while chatting to you guys, no more running back and froth from computer to tv. it even has a freaking remote control, watch..... watch this

562147890

I typed all those numbers with the remote..... craziness huh.

Keep it Real

Ok, I guess I'll finally make a REAL entry. I know, this site has now become a horror to the eyes. Somehow the template I was using got erased, so I had to start all over again, and I don't feel like taking the time to align everythign up. It's not like anyone reads this anyway. So these past few postless weeks have been weird. Lots of changes... some good, some bad. But overall, it's been pretty nice. I just got some news today, that I would love to post on here, but I'm not sure if I'm at liberty to discuss it yet... so for now I'll just say this "CUT-IT-OUT". I don't have much to talk about right now... I just wanted to try to get this thing going again. So for now I'll say goodbye! Peace.

Justine was seventeen, I picked her up on the high-school green
she had a smile, I had a flask, she had a while before her next class
but she turned out to be crazy and she just wouldn't stop
she kept calling me, she kept following me
and her dad was a cop
if I hadn't've gave her my address
it wouldn't've been quite so bad
she turned out to be crazy, I turned out to be mad
Marie said she was twenty-three, but she didn't fool me
she'd stick her tongue in my ear, she'd say "c'mere,
will you buy my friends beer..."
she turned out to be crazy, it all happened so fast
before I knew we were saying "I do"
and now she owns half my ass
if I'd have only been thinking
we could've only got tattooed
she turned out to be crazy, I turned out to be screwed

Eleanor was thirty-four, she had a husband
she didn't want him anymore
she had a plan, she'd get in bed, she'd call him in,
and then I'd hit him on the head
but she turned out to be crazy, though she kept it well hid
and it turns out that to knock a guy out
you gotta hit him harder than I did
now he's pressing charges
they're back together and I'm out of luck
she turned out to be crazy, I turned out to be stuck.

You were my life to some extent
my little world and all it meant
my only eyes to see it through
but what could I have seen in you?
This isn't about you anymore
you may have been what it was about before
but I gave it some thought
it turns out it's not
I think it's gonna help a lot
Now everything I went through with you
doesn't have anything to do with you
though your spirit lives on
in damage that you have done
there's a big fat hole in my heart
and you know that you played a part
but now I don't intend to make it a trend
it's not about you anymore

I imagine that somehow
far away from here and now
thoughts of you might ring some bells
when I'm sad for something else

This isn't about you anymore
I don't remember what you were in it for
oh yes I do, you were just passing through
unnecessary and untrue
once it was fresh but now it's stale
this tedious and pathetic tale
of regret and chagrin, you were the heroine
now you're a footnote to somebody else's footnote
in a book no one ever wrote
I'll give you a hint: you're out of print
it's not about you anymore

and so my friend, I'm afraid we're going to have to let you go
that's right: you're fired
your participation in this psychodrama is no longer required

your legacy though will never fade
for all the contributions you have made
wrecking my peace of mind was some of your finest work
will you still be so proud of it
now I've written you out of it
you once were the star, now I don't know what you are
but it's not about you anymore

Yes, it DOES seem to be working.
