I talk about you behind your back all the time Dana. Just a few hours ago Dave asked me if you were coming to the show in BR and I was all like, I have no idea. I'm almost positive you didn't know about that. And when Jimmy Somedude asked me why you don;t talk to him anymore I told him it was because you want to have an affair with his girlfriend.
The other day I talked about ryan Michons incapability to play Scrabble, Today I will add David Madaffari to that list. He sucked in a game basicaly between Brian and I last ngiht cause Dave sucks. I even lost a turn by accidentally hitting the challenge button and lost to brian by 2 points.
Today Dave asked me to play him just me and him. So I go first but I receive probrably the worst selection of letters ever. Q Z T I I I A.
So I come to grips wth it and just make the word ZIT. a cool 24 points for such a crappy word. Dave after thinking for 10 min makes PIG ... I swear I wanted to rip his head off, lucky for him we are playing on the internet and hes 200 miles away. So after lots of careful thought I barely extended the board. Dave eventualy quit cuse he had to leave but at the time that he left I was beating him 78 -21.

This is just a quick update. I was reading ESPN.com, and they had an article about Ricky Williams at Dolphins training camp, and out of this article, I got one of my favorite quotes I've heard in a while. So without further hesitation...
Quote of the Moment - "You see No. 34 back there and you say, `Wow, he's a stud,''' by Dolphins' O-lineman Mark Dixon, on Ricky Williams

It's truly a glorious day for Saints fans. Today, we managed to sign our 1st round pick, Donte Stallworth, to a 6 year deal. On top of that, AB decided to show up for training camp. So now everything is on track for us to make our Super Bowl run. Our offense will be hard to defend this year... in fact, it will be much like the Rams' offense... speed EVERYWHERE. The only difference is that our QB has speed, and the Rams' QB has concussions, sprained thumbs, and an ugly wife. That's it for now, I'll write back later. Peace.

I apologize to Brett cause i'm posting fairly close to his knocking it down. but hey along with my ever growing AIM hours I'm just trying to beat Brett at yet another thing just like I'm going to beat him in warcraft in a week.
So how was my day, well it actually connectas to yesterday since I never really slept. Remember 40 year old hoe mentioned in blogs past. Well she called a final group meeting for us to finish all work that we need to do. I for once agreed with her, howeber this was given to me by e-mail so I could not argue the 8AM MEETING TIME FOR SUNDAY MORNING.
I mean seriously who the hell meets at 8am in the morning for a project, I felt like I was doinf 3 possible things of my past. 1 I was going fishing, 2 I was going to a boat race or 3 I was playing little league baseball again. So heres what went down, yesterday about 12amish I decided there wasn't a chance in hell that I'd wake up on time if I went to sleep so it was once again all-nighter time for McWedgy. .....now that I think about it I solve too many early morning problems this way, I mean I never recall going to sleep earlier.
So at about 12am I was talking to RPM Guitar and we decided to get up a game of scrabble since its one of the many things you can play over the internet. It was me him and a girl named Sarah that dana and ryan know but i only know her name. Anyway, I'm warning all you patton's right now!!!!! NEVER PLAY SCRABBLE WITH RYAN. Holy crap I thought Justin was bad, ryan probrably set the record for most consecutive 3 letter words made in scrabble. He actually forced the first game to be canceled halfway through cause we ran out of spots to make words. We then played a second game that lasted till 3am. It was a good game, however I was cheated out of winning. I spelled a word and ryan or sarah challenged it, and it got put down, I went to my dictonary and also to dictionary .com and found the word in both. the word contained a Z and a G so it wasn't just 1 point letters. So ryan won by like 10 points because of this though I should have won by 100 oe 80 as Todd would say.
Anyway about 4amish Mike got on and we chatted about the show and shizzzzstuff. I then played more Warcraft 3 because it is easily the best game of the year possibly one of the best PC games ever. Its just as much if not more addictive than grand theft auto.
Hey mike I just got a great idea. is it in anyway possibly to hook up my PS2 to the TV in the van, we could watch dvds and play grand theft auto for the trip we'd feel like real rockstars hehe.
back to my story, by the way, creed is doing the plays of the week on sportscenter tonight. ...back to story, At about 6 I decided you know what 2 members of the group already don;t show up and I did 100% of the work before this so whats it gonna hurt If I show up a little late, lets get some shut eye. So what do I do, I turn on the Tv and watch sportscenter.
at about 7:30 or so I'm guessing I fell asleep cause the last time I remember seeing on the clock was 7:17.....so anyway I wake up at 8:45 so I'm already late but who gives a crap I'm tired and I hate my group so F them. and yess I actually think "F" them cause I haven't cursed in like years so I guess i could get detentions for saying that letter now.
Anyway I didn't throw it all out the window I actually got up and went to the stupid meeting and did a core of the work again. but what was even more fun was how I got to tolerate that stupid hoes crap for 8 HOURS STRAIGHT!!! We freaking were in that office from 9am to 5pm I almost died. 5:24pm to be exact on my watch. So I have yet to sleep. after the group I ate some crackers cause i'm out of money till august and thats all I have in this room. mmmmm crackers...... So now its 12am and I'm sure Dana would be yelling at me to go to sleep or some crap like that but I can't I tried, I laid in the bed from 9-11 and never fell asleep so I said screw it and got on the computer and watched sportscenter.
As much sleep as I didn;t get its still not my record which was on my highschool senior trip totaling out at 78 hours straight without sleeping. I had like 3 small naps but none was longer than 1 hour, those naps took place on the trip from the hotel to disney or wherever we had to go that day sdo in those 3and 1/3 days i had no sleep I had roughly 3 hours of sleep.
On that note I will now go do something, probrably watch a movie or play warcraft. This was a long entry.... wwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I must say, today was pretty fun. I finally went over to Christopher and Chelsea's new house and chilled there for a little while. I also got to see Sebastian for some time, and as I stated to Dana earlier... he KICKS ASS. After that I came home and rested up, cause I knew I had a long night ahead of me. You see, Less Than Jake was tonight. I tried to find someone to go with me, but my attempts at finding a show buddy falied miserably. I was a bit upset, but it's not like I've never been to a show alone before... in fact, I'm quite used to it by now. So I got into House of Blues at about 6:30, and the first band, Whippersnapper, went on at 7. I've seen them before, and they were just plain BAD. But this time, they were a lot better. While I still don't like the music they play, or the singer, or his stupid lyrics (I swear I thought I heard the word "revolution" in almost EVERY song), they played a tight set, and had lots of energy, and in my opinion, energy is key for a live show. They played for about 25-30 min., then at 8pm Guttermouth came on. I didn't know what to expect with these guys, but they impressed me. High energy show, good vocals, and lots of crowd participation involved. They were mostly punk rock, but a lot of their songs didn't sound like ordinary punk rock. They were upbeat, catchy, and made me want to dance my but off. They were a great opening band for Less Than Jake. they played for like 40 min., then at 9pm the great Less Than Jake came on. I've seen these guys 4 times now, and each time they impress me more and more. They know how to do a good show, and their songs are brilliant, especially when played live. So, all in all, it was a pretty fun night, and I even saw some familiar Cypress Hall faces (Man-Girl, Fat Trombone Man, the Skafather). Now I'm dead tired, and I'm hungry as hell, as I haven't eaten at all today. So I'm gonna go cook me up some french fries, and have me some good ole coca cola classic. Peace.

Nope, I'm awake, and prepared to blog my ass off to day for our lovely sponsors (hehe, yeah right). Actually, I, unlike Josh, was too lazy to actually try to get sponsors... so no blog-a-thon for us. Although, I'm quite suprised by the sites stabilility during this time of excessive blogging. Ok, I'm going to take a shower now... if you want to join me, well... too bad. I'll write more after work, which will be late tonight, and I'll be tired. I'll also be mad for missing Cruiser Weight. But I'll get over it. Peace!

Damn, I should really post on here more. I'm gonna try harder from now on though... I'll try for one a day again. Today was pretty neat, I went and chilled with Dana, then we went to TGI Fridays. That place can cook up a MASSIVELY good hamburger. After that we drove home, and I almost hit a man on a bike. He was so close to my car, I was able to see the look of fear in his eyes, as his life flashed before them. That kind of freaked me out, but I got over it. Now I'm here, listening to the new Reel Big Fish cd. I still can't manage to get over the amount of excellence on this cd. Everything is done perfectly. Tomorrow's going to really suck, because while I'm working at some stupid wedding, everyone else will be watching Cruiser Weight. I keep telling myself that it's ok, because I've seen them 2 times already, but really... you can NEVER see a great band too much. Hopefully, I'll be able to make up for it Sunday by seeing Less Than Jake at HOB. Right now, Todd is trying to argue with me about how the new Weezer album is better than the new RBF album... I think he's lost his mind. My mom and dad are back in town, so I no longer have the house to myself for now... this may be for quite some time, as my dad has to get surgery soon. Good things DO come out of the parents being home... like yesterday, my dad cooked up some kick ass chicken strips (he makes the best chicken strips in the world), and today they bought me some Hershey chocolate ice cream with Almonds. NEATO! Lately Grandia II has been taking up most of my free time, and I must say that it's an awesome game. Noriyuki Iwadare is a musical genius. I only have a few more weeks till I go back to USM, and that's a bit depressing, cause I had hella fun this summer. I'm gonna miss going to tons of shows, and chilling with the crew. But, I must say, I'm also missing USM a bit. Dana says she'll be able to come visit Allen and I, cause she knows some chick that's living on campus... so that'll be cool. Also, Kristi will be up there with me, so I'll be able to annoy her ALL the time... can we say "cool"? Alright, I think I've rambled for enough right now. I'm gonna go and finish doing whatever it is I do on the internet (do I ever REALLY do ANYTHING?). Peace.

Did you all die....? Anyway
You know what is the coolest thing in the world in college aside from that presentation thing I mentioned a few days ago. Being accused of cheating. I swear this is ridiculous. We're in a programming class there are 200 of us doing the same exact program, and mine shows similarities to someone elses. WTF??? I mean is this guy serious. What makes this even worse is I know why it looks similar and before you go accusing we didn't cheat. I tutored this dude almost all of the semester cause hes a dumbshit and I'm a nice guy. Hes a fairly cool guy he jst has a hard time with programming. All year I've been showing himn the basics of programming and how they work. So here is my best guess, while explaining the last program he got the idea that mine is exactly right so he tryied to duplicate it. I never yet saw his program nor will I. I've straightened it out too but it was a bitch to go all over campus on a Friday to talk about this.
Now for those of you who don't know, this is how programming works. A teacher says I want a program to do so and so and this is how I want you to do it. my questions is why they don;t question the 8 million people who are idential, (not similar) and get the program completely right. Whats even worse in most situations is the teacher tells us the exact code to use. how is that not cheating when we are all alike. I don't even know where I'm going with this anymore so I'm gonna stop now.
You guys should post something, this diary is dying.

What am I? Stupid? Did I think this site would actually be working?
Mike 7/23/2002 10:40:00 PM
I, too, have been slacking, particularly in the reviews department. So, let's just throw a huge blanket rating of "great" over the following items: the new Reel Big Fish, Superdrag, and Goldfinger CD's; Eight-Legged Freaks (4th-best movie of the year, after Halloween, Jason X, and The Rookie); and the new Weezer video (possibly the best video EVER).
Speaking of reviews, the SSMS site is not dead. If anyone ever feels like contributing something, I'd be glad to post it. I just don't have the time these days. But it keeps getting hits, so whenever we're ready to revive it, our "fans" will be happy.
I have spent practically 2 days burning CD's, printing and sticking on labels, and copying, cutting, and inserting covers. The Lazy Dog CD is so bad, it's funny.
I realized today that I would probably eat crawfish ice cream if they made it. That's gross.

Well, I've been slacking lately. I need to get back into Blogging shape. Today was fairly fun, I got some cool new goodies. I got the new New Found Glory cd, and it's freaking awesome. I also got another Star Wars toy. It's an Obi Wan that's seems to be new, cause I haven't seen this one yet. I think that makes 8 for me right now. I'm still looking for that damn Yoda toy. I also got a new T Shirt that I will debut Wed. at the Pull String, Finger Cuff show. It'll probably become my new favorite shirt, and you'll see why if you go to the show Wed. I don't get to see Cruiser Weight this weekend cause I have to work, so that's a bit upsetting. But I've seen them 2 times already, and I'm sure I'll get the opportunity to see them again. But this does mean that I should be able to go see Less Than Jake at HOB Sunday. Hopefully I can get someone to go with me ::cough:: Dana ::cough::, but I won't get my hopes up. Tomorrow I get to bring Ben to a job interview, and he's gonna pay me, so that's cool, cause I need money for my bass. Band camp is coming up in a few weeks, so that means I have to get my ass back into playing shape. I'm going to have to do some sort of audition... I don't like those things. I wish they would just give me 3rd part and be done with it. My schedule for band camp is basiclly 8am - 9pm every day for a week. That's a bit insane, but I'm a man, so I'm sure I can handle up on that biotch. I'm a bit nervous though cause I'm a first timer. I'm sure it won't be that bad though, especially since I'm already fairly good friends with most of the trumpet players. I'll be sure to blog every day after camp to let you know how it's going (as if people actually read this). Well, I'm going to eat now, so peace out!

Yo what's up? Not much around here. Today was pretty pointless... not much happening. I basiclly woke up around 12, and haven't really done much since. Ben let me borrow Grandia II, so I've been playing that all day... it's a fun game. I can't think of anything else to say, so I'm gonna go play some bass now. I'll write some more later. Peace.

So I finally got Brett to get me into this thing since it seems people refuse to look at the robinsons diary and because I refuse to resseruct the Super The page till Brian and Mike make that petition. hehe.
You know i wonder if I should even be posing on this thing cause it IS called "Life in St. Bernard", and not "Life In Hattiesburg half the week and in St. Bernard on Weekends That You Have off and Come Home." However it would be very amusing if someone tried to reserve that title. If anyone wants to know what is the coolest game in the world I'd tell you it was Mariokart or Spy vs. Spy possibly even Megaman. thats not the point. If you asked me which game has sucked the most life out of me I would say, you know back in July of 2002 I purchased a game for the PC known as Warcraft III which caused me to spend every waking moment playing it because it is so addictive.
I actually wasn't playing all day today for once. I woke up mixed and edited songs for 5 hours, and then I've been playing for the past 6 hours. I figured I needed a 10 minute break after all that. I reccomend that any of you go out and purchase it, however Radish, I suggest not letting D.J. play it because it will be even worse than Zeus and the Sims combined. This game has elves in it and you know how crazy Donna will go when she has power over little elf and dwarf people.
Oh yeah as I posted on the robinsons page I'm bringing some drinks to rotolos this weekend for people to try and guess what it is. I have to tell you it surely wasn't what I thought I was buying. I still forced myself to consume some of it because I was in that HAVE to drink mode. All I will say is that I bought it at Super Wal-Mart and that it is in a plastic bottle. I think thats enough for my first bloggy.
Allen Wedge 7/17/2002 10:28:00 PM
Well well well... I finally missed a day! Well I am back, so all you people can quit your worrying. I didn't make an entry yesterday, because I actually left the house and did some stuff. I went to Best Buy, Toys R Us, Barnes and Nobles, and Werlines (sp?). It was pretty fun, and I managed to escape the whole day with only buying a single book from Barnes and Nobles. I also went to Wendy's, but showed my incredible will power by only getting a bigge coke! I RULE! Tonight, things go back to normal, as we have somewhat of a show at Espresso Yourself. It's no Robinsons, but it'll have to do for now. Yesterday, Michael gave me the incredible news that the Huntingtons are going to be playing at none other than ESPRESSO YOURSELF. Can you imagine that? The Huntingtons playing in good old Chalmette. This is a show that NO ONE should miss! I never ever thought that the Huntingtons would ever be playing in Chalmette... it's all just so amazingly neat! I sure as hell can't wait for that, as they are my 2nd favorite band ever! Now we gotta work on getting Reel Big Fish (hehehe, I wish). Hopefully when the Huntingtons come here, it won't only be for the show, but to also give me my bass. Supposedly someone has matched my bid of $450, so we're in sort of a stale mate I guess. But I really want that bass! Yesterday, as Ben and I were leaving Toys R Us, we saw this sticker machine that had the PERFECT sticker for my bass... it was this gay florescent colored sticker with the words "Danger Zone" on it! We spent like $2 trying to get it, but all we got were "All Star", "Out To Lunch", "Hyper", and "Misunderstood". I want that "Danger Zone" sticker really bad, so if ever you are at Toys R Us, and you see the machine, spare 50 cents and try to get it for me would you? Now to change the subject not so completly, I've been playing bass more and more, and it's become so incredibly fun! I really really like playing bass... why didn't I pick this up sooner? I was stupid back in the day I guess. But now I am a new man, and bass is my thing. Ok, I'm gonna go now, cause I haven't taken a shower yet today, so I'll write later on I guess! Peace.

Hello good ole Blog. I'm back from "camping", and I'm tired as hell. Flint Creek was ok, although it was pretty boring... the boat broke, so we were pretty much limited to just swimming. I was trying to catch a turtle, but my swimming skills aren't good enough. We lit ourselves a fire, and made smores... fires are so cool. But now that I'm back, all I wanna do is sleep... waking up early for two days in a row isn't my style. Tomorrow, I think I'm gonna get me a haircut... after I go to Best Buy of course. I told Ben I'd go with him. I hate going into Best Buy, because I can NEVER leave without buying anything... so expect me to write tomorrow with a whole list of new goodies that I bought. I can't really think of anything else to say right now... I'm just too tired, so I think I'm gonna go for now. Sorry for the short entry. Peace.

Mike 7/14/2002 11:05:00 AM
Damn I hate being up this early. It's like 9 in the "am" here, but Sebastian is worth it. It's raining right now, but I hope it isn't raining at the camp ground, cause I wanna go on some jet skis. I'm just realizing that I'm kind of behind on my cd ratings, so I'll give a couple right now, as I have nothing else to do. First off is Home Grown's "Kings of Pop". I give it a 9/10, it really is a great cd, and they have some damn good lyrics in it. It's definitly worth buying (especially if you can get it for $9.99 like me). Next up is Weezer's "Maladroit". I give it an 8.5/10. While not as great as "Pinkerton", it still manages to mesh the sound of Pinkerton (10/10) and the Blue Album (9/10) pretty well. It also has some kick ass guitar leads in it. Next in line is Goldfinger's "Open Your Eyes". In my opinion this is one of their best. It's right up there with Hang-Ups (10/10), but I really like horns, and this one has NONE! But it still gets a 9/10. Finally, since I'm running out of time, is Reel Big Fish's "Cheer Up". Seriously, do you really wanna read me ranting for pages and pages about how great this album is? I didn't think so, so I'll keep it short. This is by far the greatest cd that I own, and it's not very often that something this amazing comes along. Great 2,3,and sometimes 4 part harmonies, stellar brass work, beyond amazing guitar solos, and awesome lyrics make this one Reel Big Fish's best album. It's hard to find music this good now a days, but Reel Big Fish has managed to make it available to the public. I give it an 11/10. Go buy this thing (even if you're afraid of clowns). Alright, I'm off to Flint Creek. Have fun without me. Peace!

Tonight wasn't too fun. I had to work, and now my neck and back hurt like hell. Last night was totally fun, and Michael Myers totally kicks ass. This was by far my favorite Halloween in the series, for reasons that I can't mention! Dana is the bomb, because she decided to chill with my sissy ass all last night, until I could finally build up the balls to walk into my house. And that foam nonsense totally wasn't cool. Tomorrow I'm going to Flint Creek to play with snakes, alligators, and Sebastian, so that should be hella fun. I'm hungry now, so I'm gonna go eat... possibly ChArabi Diner, but Dana doesn't wanna come cause she's tired... it's all good though, cause she chilled with me last night in my time of need... she deserves rest. Ok, I think I'm gonna go now, cause I don't have much more to say. By the way, I give Halloween 9.5/10. Peace.

As far as H20 goes... how in the hell was I supposed to know that parts 3-6 weren't supposed to exist for the movie? No one told me this, nor do they explain it! They need to write these things on the boxes! Now, it's time to get excited. After another relaxing trip to the doctor, I get to sit here and wait for Halloween tonight. But I'm sure I have some wonderful things to look forward to. I'm not expecting a huge kill count, as Mike will probably be limited to the people who stupidly agree to be locked in his house, but I'm sure 10 wouldn't be too big of a number to expect. I'm sure most of the kills will be well, thought out, over the top, never before seen kills. The match up between Mike and Busta is sure to be pure GOLD! Ok, I've talked about Halloween enough now. I'm gonna go and play some bass, and maybe I'll write some more after the movie tonight. Peace.

Mike 7/12/2002 12:02:00 PM
Here's a little Halloween post as I stick to the "season."
First of all, here's the reference to Salinas' joke from my SSMS review of Halloween:
Tommy, the damn cry-baby that Laurie has to baby-sit (who returns later in the series), gets this HUGE pumpkin smashed by some bullies and he runs off, crying as usual. (I was actually suckered into believing the stupidest quote of the night: "The ironic thing is, the Smashing Pumpkins are on the soundtrack for Halloween 6!" "Really??" "NO!!! Hahahahaha!" It had been a long night, OK?)
Here's a paragraph about our hero:
Michael is smooth. He kills and saves, kills and saves. He knows how to kill and he knows what he wants to do with these bodies. He kills Bob, the bespectacled pervert, as he's getting a beer. But does he just kill him? Hell no! He hangs him up on the wall, like an art exhibit and pauses, adding a dramatic caesura, and admires his work!
Yeah, tonight's the night. And Brett, I found out 2 things about Halloween H20 that would've been nice to know before I watched it.
1. You are supposed to assume that parts 3-6 didn't happen! Thanks for telling us, huh?
2. The Moustapha director guy has done interviews saying that the killer in H20 was "probably" a copycat! That explains it!! (It's not as good as my scenario, but then again, if we were writing these movies, we'd be rich.) We'll find out tonight!! All will be revealed!! Zero days to Halloween, Halloween, Halloween... Zero days to Halloween, Silver Shamrock!

Ok, it's about time for me to go try this whole doctor thing again. I'm pretty sure that today is the right date. I am sooooo freaking tired! Whenever I take my medicine at night, it makes me not want to wake up in the morning... stupid medicine. Tonight is the night I've been waiting for... Halloween! The mystery surrounding the whole movie, of course, is: How in the hell does Mike come back from getting his freaking HEAD chopped off? I'm sure I'll find out tonight. Last night, I finally gave in, and Dana and I went to Wendy's. I didn't get anything to completly unhealthy (like 5 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers), I just got a spicy chicken sandwich and fries. Hell, I didn't even eat all my fries... Pepper had to help me out with that. But I do like the idea of only eating fast food once every 2 weeks or so... believe it or not, it even makes it taste better! Dana made me yet ANOTHER friendship bracelet, and this one is ten times cooler. These things seem to be the trend as of late. Something good managed to happen to me yesterday... my mom told me she'd try to get me Mikey Huntington's bass (he's selling it to the best offer). I'm not completly positive that I'll get it... but one can hope can't he? Well, I can think of anything more to type, and I have to go to the doctor soon anyway... so I'll be gone now. Peace.

Maybe bands and fans are only supposed to be SO close... I mean, this whole internet thing... couldn't it be a BAD thing? I don't know...
I do know this... when I was little, the only things I knew about my favorite bands were what I read in the album credits and thanks. I'd find out from my dad (I guess he got the info from the magazines he read) when the new Rick Springfield was coming out. He'd buy it for me and I'd listen to it over and over. I'd read the lyrics, the thanks, the production notes, whatever they wanted to print. (That's how I found out that Rick's dad died; he dedicated a song to him on the Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet album. Today, that would be on the internet as soon as someone in the fan club found out!) Also, when the bands would tour, they'd have these tour booklets, with cool pictures of the band. It was so much fun.
I was just thinking how some of my favorite bands of today do not have consistently updated web sites. The Queers, MTX, and Teen Idols are immediate examples off the top of my head. In fact, I didn't know the Teen Idols broke up until one of the Huntingtons told me that. And that's how it should be! All I know about these bands are the little bit I can gather from CD liner notes and bits and pieces from magazines. Other than that, you go on stories by bands and fans who have met them. Honestly, I don't need to know Dr. Frank's social security number, favorite TV show, or political party to know that he's the greatest lyricist of our time.
The other thing that the internet has completely killed for me is bootlegs. From 1996-1998, I traded, bought, and sold bootlegs on the internet. The hunting, and finding, and trusting that went along with it was so much fun. My Weezer, Everclear, and Oasis bootlegs are still some of my prized possessions. But so many kids won't know that feeling. Ever. That's a shame. If anyone wants a copy of the Weezer show from December 1996 at the House of Blues, let me know. (Yes, I was at that show, which made finding a copy of it on the internet one of greatest finds ever!) It isn't mp3 quality, but you can hear some stupid girl yell "Monkey Boy" at Matt Sharp throughout the ENTIRE set. You can hear the courteous, grateful New Orleans natives talking during "Butterfly," completely ignoring the genius on stage with the acoustic guitar and Karl the roadie playing bass drum. Or you can just download some mp3's.
Don't get me wrong. The internet has helped me set up most of my favorite shows. I've met some GREAT friends online. Can you believe Wyatt e-mailed me one day because I had "Superdrag" in my AOL profile?? No, I'm not saying the internet is useless at all. I just wish technology had a way of keeping some things the way they were.

Ah how I love going to the doctor. Why do I love it? Well, because it's so awesome. I get there, and I go into this therapy room. Then, they hook me up to this electro shock therapy machine... from there, it's pure relaxation. I usually end up falling asleep. After about 30 minutes of that, they then proceed to massage my back, with this awesome massager thingy, for another 10 min. After that, I go home. I was actually supposed to have an appointment to actually SEE the doctor today, but I got my date screwed up, and my real appointment is tomorrow. For some reason, I'm extrememly tired right now, and I can't figure out why, but I'm sure it's nothing a little nap can't cure. I'll type more later after I wake up. Peace.
Brett 7/11/2002 12:45:00 PM
So, you want to know about my trip, huh? Um... What can I say? Waves. Yeah. Although, not so big. The waves were pretty calm this time. In order to use the wave board, you could only go out to where the water was just below the waist. That doesn't leave much room for riding. But it was still lots of fun.
Until! That damn jellyfish got me. I don't know what it was, so we assume it was a jellyfish. I've been stung by a jellyfish and I've been stung by sea nettles (right Brett?) but whatever these things were, the pain was 10 times worse! Like electricity being pierced into your skin. I was stung by a damn EEL!
It was fun to watch though... It was like a sniper was out somewhere trying to pick off the swimmers. People would be swimming, splashing, having a grand time, then BOOM! They'd drop and cry. After it was over, the wound would be no larger than a mosquito bite. Crazy.
We found this great restaurant called the Destin Diner. It kicks ChArabi Diner's meat pie butt. First of all, the food was great. But the desserts (Malts, sundaes, shakes...) are their specialty. The dinner I got was $7.99 and it was a seafood combination of blackened whitefish and fried shrimp. It came with 2 vegetables, an awesome salad, and a sundae! The sundaes were $4, so this was definitely a deal. They should open a Destin Diner in Chalmette. Or maybe someone should actually open a Chalmette Diner?
OK, that's all for now.

Chatanooga is the world's greatest city. It's like a postcard come to life. I got a call the moment I pulled in the drive way yesterday about a job, but that's all I'm saying so I don't jinx it. I had a Twister, unsuccessfully tried to get a haircut, and checked my PO Box. Did you know you can get a whole 1000 hours of AOL free? Talk about a deal. I'm currently addicted to Record of Lodoss War and peeling my ex-sunburned skin. Makes me feel like a snake with hands.

I cannot BELIEVE the massive amounts of blogging that has taken place in my absence. It's like a Robinsons diary where I'm not the only one consistently posting! It's like... McGwire hit all of those HR's because he had Sosa doing it too. No one will hit 70 HR's without someone else challenging them. But now that I have others posting consistent entries, I shall try my best to hit my share of HR's.
But not right now...
Besides, once again, publishing is not working... Weird...
Mike 7/10/2002 03:59:00 PM
Well, I went to Arabi Diner last night, but I DIDN'T go to Espresso Yourself. All I got at the Diner was Grilled Cheese, cause it's cheap, and it isn't anything to big. I also ended up going to Wal Mart (without Dana, imagine that), and the FINALLY had the new Star Wars toys, so I bought me a Mace Windu, and the new Jango Fett. My collection is getting bigger... it's up to 7 right now. Next I think I'm gonna get Obi Wan. I'm still on the look out for Yoda, but the chances of finding him in our Ghetto Mart are very slim. I got word from Chuck that I'll be working this Saturday, which is great because I need money for my amp. The amp costs $369 without tax... so I need to save a lot. I played bass some more last night, and it got to the point where my finger started bleeding... and that's a good thing. I can't wait till I get my new bass, it's going to kick some massive ass. Ok, time to go chill with Gracie, so I'll type to you later. Peace.

Just a quick theory... Arabi Diner doesn't count as fast food does it? I think I'll be going there later tonight.

When I left Mike's house last night, I decided to take Bassy (Allen's Bass) home with me, so I could start playing. I got home at about 9:45 last night and started playing... and I've been playing constantly since then. My finger hurts, but it's fun, so I can ignore the minor pain. As I was leaving Mike's house earlier today, I passed Wendy's... now most people would give in, and take a stroll through the drive-through, and maybe get just a little something, but not me. It was so tempting, especially since I have money... but I resisted, and I'm proud of myself for doing so. This may be torture now, but I have a feeling that later on in my life, I'll be thankful. On to more important things.... o wait... nothing important happens to me. In that case, on to LESS important things... I just watched the Gladiator, and that's a good movie. I give it an 8/10. Speaking of movies, the countdown is on for the Lord of the Rings DVD. It will be released on Aug. 6, and you can bet your ass that I'll be buying it... even in my DVD Playerless state. Let us also not forget about this weekend... the return of the badest m f'er in the world... MICHAEL MEYERS. Of course, with all the excitement over the new Halloween movie, I almost forgot about a sure to be, great movie, entitled Reign of Fire. I'm definitly looking foward to that one also. Ok, I'm going to look for something to eat, even though it'd be soooooo much easier to just go to Burger King. Peace Out.

Friendship... what a funny word. Believe it or not, not many people actually understand the true meaning of the word. Nor do they understand the true meaning of being a friend. Being a friend isn't just "being nice", or being able to "talk about anything". It requires a lot more work than that. You have to care about the person, if something is MAJORLY important to him/her, then it should be of equal importance to you. You have to be willing to sacrafice, and give time to the so called friend. Without this, he/she isn't really a friend, rather he/she just becomes someone you use to rely on when you need him/her. If you aren't willing to give %100, then don't waste the person's time, and don't get upset when he/she gets fed up with the complete lack of caring. Of course, none of this is coming from personal experience... it's just random thoughts that came to me during the day, a day that was filled with lots of boring stuff, and lots of thinking. What else did I think about you ask? Well, that's for me to know and for you to find out. I will tell some though. To start, I thought about how boring it is without Robinsons shows. I realize that I have nothing to do... music has truly become the main part of my life. I also thought about this certain person (not mentioning names) for the most part of the day. It's weird, someone comes along in your life, and you don't always realize how awesome they are right away... and then when you DO realize it, you don't know what to do. Ok, I've said enough for now. Peace.

What's the deal with Tennessee? Why does everyone want to go there? I know I'll be staying here for a while... I don't have much of a desire to move to Tennessee... yet. I get to go to the eye doctor today, and that's always nerve wrecking. I always have the feeling he's going to tell me I need immediate surgery. Hopefully today, none of that will happen, and I'll be on my to seeing more clearly. Other than that, I don't have much planned, except for chilling with Gracie girl. I might go hit up Wal Mart later on... maybe I can convince Dana to go after work... hehehe. Speaking of Dana, she made me this neat friendship bracelet thingy, but I keep fooling with it, so it keeps coming untied. To me, it feels really weird to have something around my wrist. I was never a big fan of wrist jewlry, unless it's my "rock-band of power". Well, I have the house to myself for a few days, so I'll be having massive parties! Actually I won't, because of my inability to actually throw a party. Ok ok, enough rambling for now... I'm off to take care of Gracie. Peace.

I'm leaving for Tennessee. I think sooner or later "everyone" will end up there, so why fight it? Actually, it's a very last minute trip to see Superdrag. Of course it involves my cousin, Luke. I don't have a cousin Luke, but that's what I'm calling Mike to throw people off the trail. Stupid Harrison Ford. Anyway, we're planning it now and leave in a few hours. Get a wiff of us planning*:
Cousin Luke: its possible that one of the people from the message board will say "dude don't rent a hotel room", you can crash at my place!
Cousin Luke: that would ROCK
The Notorious B.E.N.: Yeah, that'd be neat as long as he didn't rape us.
Cousin Luke: there's two of us
Cousin Luke: and one of him
The Notorious B.E.N.: So he gets breakfast and lunch.
Cousin Luke: lol
Cousin Luke: i found this old piece of paper with a bunch of band names we came up with
The Notorious B.E.N.: Like what?
Cousin Luke: thundergulp, six 99 used, cheese cult, microdot, adult themes, kids of friends, and of course the best one: anus bargain bubbly tasting
The Notorious B.E.N.: Oh yeah! I remember that last one!
The Notorious B.E.N.: That was some sign you misread wasn't it?
Cousin Luke: no, it was missing letters
Cousin Luke: i read it right
Cousin Luke: and then that SUV blew up on the other side of the highway, or maybe that was a different night
The Notorious B.E.N.: That was another I think. Hey, make sure to print this coupon.
The Notorious B.E.N.: Also, lie and say you're one person.
The Notorious B.E.N.: They'll give you a key. Then we'll leave to do the stuff, and we can go back.
Cousin Luke: dude, its 3 bucks more
The Notorious B.E.N.: hehe
The Notorious B.E.N.: That's a Twister!
Cousin Luke: don't forget a camera
The Notorious B.E.N.: I don't have a camera.
Cousin Luke: we're most likely going to see some funny shit along the way
Cousin Luke: disposable
The Notorious B.E.N.: Actually I do, but they don't make the film for it anymore.
Cousin Luke: are you talking about the secret stealth ninja cameras with 110 film?
Cousin Luke: ...i want that as a screen name
The Notorious B.E.N.: Ninja's don't need cameras. They bring back severed heads.
* Names changed to protect the guilty.
Hmm, well, it should be fun. The complete lack of Robinsons shows and related activities is making me all hermity and bored, so I'm excited to have something to do like a hooker starting to charge in the triple digits. Knowing my luck I'll get all kinds of people knocking at my door ready to give me a job while I'm gone, but the joke will be on them cause they'll have to step on all kinds of slugs and roaches just to get to the door! Take that, prospective employers!
Benjamin 7/08/2002 02:11:00 AM
Again, another fairly uneventful day. I get to dog sit Gracie while Mike and Donna are out of town, and that's fun. It's like totally peaceful there, and Gracie is totally calm when it's just me there. He's got HBO's and Cinemax's, so I watched a few movies... Exit Wounds, The 3 Musketeers, and Men of Honor, all of which are cool movies. This week should be pretty exciting... I got lots of things going on. All I'll say for now is that Allison's the bomb. I know at least Dana will get that one. I've realized something just recently... there always comes a time in one's life, where they have a decision they must make. A decision that will affect them in a BIG way. For me, that decision is to never eat fast food again. I've decided I want to be healthy. Let's see how long this can last! I'm just getting back from Dana's house, and we watched Chasing Amy. It was my first time seeing it, and I must say, it's my favorite Kevin Smith movie... probably because Jay and Silent Bob are only in it for one scene. I give it a 9/10. Well, I'm off to do some crazy stuff now. Wish me luck this for this week, cause I'll probably need it. Peace.

Board games are fun, except when people cheat! I assume someone cheats every time I don't win... so %99.9 of the time, someone cheats. But it's ok, cause one day I'll overcome them! Tonight was interesting... I went to Espresso Yourself for undisclosed reasons, and I bought a Snapple. I was only there for like 2 min. Then I went to Wal Mart... that's always fun, and I think Dana and I are addicted to going there. I hate our Wal Mart though, cause they NEVER have any of the new Star Wars toys. I want Mace Windu!!!!! After that, we did some stuff, and it was fun... now I'm tired. This Blog thing is really addictive... I like writing and writing, whenever the hell I want. Even if people aren't gonna read it, it's still fun. But now, we have 4 members... those being Mike, Dana, Ben, and I. I'm fairly sure Ryan Michon will be next. I need sleep, so I'm going to part with this thing for a few hours, but don't worry, I'll have more to type tomorrow.

Just a quick update. I got the Sunday newspaper just a little while ago. The Radiant Radish has a nice story in there. I've never had my name in the newspaper before for anything other than honor roll at Rowley Elementary, so this is pretty neat for me. I'm famous now. So everyone who reads this (probably a total of 1 or 2) go check out the St.Bernard section of the Times Picayune.

I cuts grass... at least that's what I did a few minutes ago. I feel Michael's pain, it's hot as a biotch outside. 2 of my dogs tried to run away, but I'm too quick for them suckers. They can't handle my mad speed. Other than that, today has been pretty uneventful. I watched The Majestic the other night, and I must say, it is an excellent movie. Jim Carrey is one hell of an actor. He should do more serious movies. On a somewhat different note, Halloween comes out next Friday, and I couldn't be happier. They need to right the wrong that was H20, and there's no doubt in my mind that Busta will help do that. Also, from what I hear, the original writer from Halloween 1 and 2 is back for this movie, so it should be nothing short of amazing. Well that's all for now, I may write some more later, but it's too hot right now. Peace.

An expansion on my freestyle poem...
Cutting grass, it isn't cool
I wish I had a swimming pool
Cause then I'd jump in when I'm done
And cutting grass would then be fun
Once I start to mow, Surprise!
Sweat starts rolling in my eyes
It burns, but I can't just stop mowing
Cause then my grass would keep on growing
Why can't we just let it be?
What's wrong with our society?
Knee-high grass, it should be in
The neighborhood contests, I would WIN!
But that makes too much sense, so I cut and I sweep
Knowing it will all be back here next week
If I had Astroturf, I'd have it made
Thank God for Starfruit Gatorade!

Alright, things seem to be picking up... tons of people want to join in on this nonsense! Actually, I'm lying, but it's been less than a day, so I wasn't expecting anyone yet. Hopefully people will care to do this though! Cypress Hall tonight... WOO HOO!! I really do enjoy that place... I'm gonna miss it. Peace Out.
